Shiver me timbers, Hammocks Beach State Park in Swansboro will be invaded by pirates, Saturday May 3rd, 2014! The event will be held from 10am-5pm and features Pirate ShowTime, Pirate Boat Rides and Treasure Hunts on Bear Island. Pull out your �slops� or canvas breeches and cotton waistcoat stockings for the Pirate Costume Contest. The day is filled with Pirate story telling, games and activities! Additionally guess may also browse vendors, enjoy great music, food, an antique car show, Bear Island fishing, and the Jim Craig Birding Program.
